About Audio Conversion

This converter uses the Web Audio API to decode your audio file, then re-encodes it using the MediaRecorder API in your chosen format — entirely in-browser with no server upload.

WAV — Uncompressed PCM audio. Largest file size but zero quality loss. Best for editing and archival.

WebM (Opus) — Modern codec with excellent compression. Great for voice and music at low bitrates.

OGG (Vorbis) — Open-source lossy codec. Good quality at moderate bitrates. Widely supported in browsers.

Note: Browser-based conversion supports formats natively decodable by your browser. For broader format support (FLAC encoding, AAC), desktop tools like FFmpeg are recommended.
