How to Use xConvert24

1. Pick a converter from the sidebar menu or the homepage grid (e.g. Weight, Length, Temperature).
2. Select the "From" unit using the dropdown (e.g. Kilograms).
3. Enter a number in the input field.
4. Select the "To" unit (e.g. Pounds).
5. The result appears instantly — no need to press a button.
6. Click Swap to reverse the conversion direction.

• • Use the search bar in the top header — type a unit name, abbreviation, or category (e.g. "kg", "mph", "loan").
• • A dropdown shows matching results instantly. Click one to jump there.
• • Press / on your keyboard to focus the search from anywhere on the site.
• • On mobile, tap the 🔍 icon in the header.
• • The sidebar has a collapsible treeview — click a category to expand or collapse it.

Beyond unit conversion, we have specialised calculators:

xConvert24 never asks you to create an account. Instead, the first time you visit, a unique anonymous User ID is generated and stored in your browser's localStorage. This ID links your ConvertCoins balance, streaks, favourites, and votes to you — without an email, password, or any personal information.

• • How it works: Your User ID (e.g. u_m2k8f3x9ab) is auto-generated on first visit and saved locally in your browser. All your activity is tied to this ID on our server.
• • Download your ID (🆔 button): In the footer toolbar, click the indigo 🆔 button to download a small text file containing your User ID. Keep this file safe — it's your backup if you ever clear your browser or switch devices.
• • Relink your ID (🔗 button): If you moved to a new device or cleared your browser data, click the green 🔗 button in the footer toolbar to restore your identity. You can either upload the text file you previously downloaded, or paste your User ID manually. Once confirmed, your browser is relinked to your existing account — restoring your coins, level, and history.
• • Clear everything (☢️ button): The red ☢️ button wipes all localStorage on this device (User ID, favourites, preferences). Use it to start completely fresh. This does not delete your server-side data — you can always relink later.

• • Dark / Light mode: Click the 🌙/☀️ icon in the top-right. Your preference is remembered.
• • Bookmark pages: Click the 🔖 icon to save a converter for quick access. Bookmarks are stored in your browser.
• • Cookie preferences: Click the 🍪 icon in the bottom-left to manage analytics and marketing cookies.

• • Click the ✕ button or anywhere outside the panel to close it.
